M.Oikarinen recently tipped off a relatively fresh malination of guitar / bass cabinets from the plugar. It was developed by Steven Atkinson and published as an open source Neural Amp Modeler (NAM). Plugers have VST3 and AU versions, as well as stand alone application to the hill and winuka. Too bad that AAX is still missing, at least so far, but the successful threat of those VST / AU plugers run at Pro Tools eg DDMF Metaplugin With help.
There are plenty of different models, and if you can't find one, you can model your own knobs / cabinets. The technology behind it is the new "AI-based," which has not yet been hit so much on the audio side.
The plugin itself has very few adjustments and can only be found: Input level, Gate, Bass, Midle, Treble and Output level (also normalised). Saunds are created with the said models, by opening your profile and iris file (Impulse Response) in a plugin. One of the factors to be taken into account is that very many models have been made at 48khz sampling rate, so the project that is also being worked will need to be compatible if it is driven by a DAW.
MOD Dwarf -the pedal has recently received support for the Neural Amp Modeler plugar, and this will, of course, provide a real opportunity for live use.
Does NAM sound like anything? Well, that sounds like it! Definitely the best sound modeling luger I've ever encountered. I suggest you try it!
This must be pricey? Well, the next surprise is that the question is absolutely free software. 🙂
Even the models that are divided are very much free. For example: Tonehuntin The pages contain thousands of these. And, by the way, that MOD pedal machine isn't a shocking price, either.
