Atmo has become a touch-up with Mastervox, where listening is also quite standard. Now, at home, I decided to take over that better, so that, if necessary, you have the know-how. There is no listening in that little home studio, so we had to settle for a "binary" listening, where, for example, 7.1.4 listening is turned into a loop. Does it work? Well, that's the way it is, but it's not like Atmos.
I checked. Avid's video of Pro Tools Atmos render was just under 20min, and I downloaded Pro Tools's Atmos demo. Very quickly that pattern began to emerge, and the objects as a concept also seemed logical. The motion automation of objects is a little hard to work with, when there are traditionally not the same curves to draw, such as the norm in panorisation, but you must now take a position at least on the length, width and height of the values.
I don't think this is a big break in rock 'n' roll, but it's a good thing, too, if you ever need to come, or get excited to play with some rock 'n' roll.
