It's been a long time since I've seen a gig, and I've had a pretty long day.

So I was working for Livesalet, and in the morning we started at the warehouse at 8: 30 a.m., where we went straight to the market in Oulu. At 10 o'clock in the square was starting the National Police Day and in Oulu the police traditionally spend it near the market square. I had a Livesalet van in use, where, in addition to the stuff going to market, there were also the ramps going to the Rotuaar concert. Vuolukka's Eero also came to stop by to set up Tor's stuff. So, it was quick, huh? Eero went there to continue the preparations for Magic Island, and I stayed at the market. The program-compliant police band had had to cancel because of the medical incident, so the program consisted of lines and stories, interviews, speeches, and songs. Pretty light set, then.

The sound men going to the race hall went to pick up the van before noon, so they could get their own ramps ready (The Ratuar had something to sing...). The police show at the market ended at 2: 00, and the Rotuar set lasted until 4: 00, so I didn't have the sense to wait for the van, but I needed it back earlier. You couldn't leave your stuff unattended at the market again, so I came up with a solution, where I asked the authorities for help in getting the van. Well, it worked out, and two young people (male + female) the police promised to go to the Rotuar to pick up the van. I was able to use the time myself and unload the stuff. And that's what the van did to the market. One of the cops did say he had a car in a bit of a rough spot on the Rotuar. All I said was, "Well, luckily, it was the professionals." I was a little surprised, when the guy slipped away with a little, I guess I was kind of in a hurry. Well, well, well. All right, get your stuff on board, and buy a mixer for Magic Island. A little earlier, it came to my attention that one piece of the stage that I used at the market needed to be delivered to the Ostarifestar running on Höyrää. From Magic Island (Oulun's Lamb Island) I therefore cheered up to Höyänä and from there to the Rotuar, waiting for the end of the set. On the race, I heard that there had been a slight accident in the police department's search for the van, and they had collided with one metal pillar between the race and the road. Professionals? Well, there was nothing in the car, and it hurts. 🙂
Well, Eero called me to tell me that we need a couple of Hazers in Magic Island, so I'd like to go to the warehouse and get a run before the Ratiar set ends. I almost got here by hitting back to the racehorse, and we packed up the gear. At this point, fortunately, we realized we were going to eat with Tumpa (there was no great chance of that at the end of the night) until we headed towards the Magic Island. Unfortunately, it was exactly five o'clock, and there the event opened at the same time. This meant that we were no longer allowed to drive the van into the area, but we had to leave it outside the gates. A few subbanes and hazers were pushed by hand, and all the stuff was for the Magic Island.

I also stayed in Magic Island for the evening, because the coverage there was a total of five shows. Some of the pallets were quite small, and some of them were according to it, but they were in several places, and all of them needed to be looked after. I was also able to touch Eero Wing (in the picture), which seems to be quite a proper machine. Livesaletti did the events during the day in Oulu Square, in the Rotuar, the mall festival of Höyhä, the five avenues of Taikasaari, and at least there was also an event in Kempele. It's a perfect performance, isn't it?

The magic island had a noise permit until midnight, up to which we went "isoa-hard," and then almost to one stage, so-called background music by DJ.
Of course, we were able to tear down those pallets that had no more of the events, and, fortunately, the big stage ended at midnight, so that's where the stuff is. At night, just before 2: 00, we had our cars packed, and we headed towards the warehouse. All that's left is the demolition of cars, and then you get home, and you get to sleep.

In the picture above, for sound, a large stage has been taken off, and the ramps are waiting for transport to arrive...
It was a great day, even though it was long and heavy. There were also many types of analog, dig (all of course professional equipment). There were no problems at any time, and the technique played well. The team was made up of professionals, so that's all you really expected.
In a week, there'll be a rock show in Kiiming. Let's get back to the subject.
