Opening of the September period

The holidays are over, and Saturday started the fall season. Now, here's some music, right up to the "Christmas season," actually, every weekend. The gigs are nice and in between a little studio work, so those free weekends are gonna be pretty short for the rest of the year.

So, on Saturday, I was with Inhalation Ten at Toppilan JazzVincent to entertain the wedding people. There are no big stories about the job. Everything worked the way it should.

This place is really a "barn-like" construction, but it's a uterus. The wooden building with its acoustics is also quite good, although there is a small chord at the corner of the stage. It may be partly due to the fact that the lower frequencies disappear through the board wall of its blood well, that subbose became driven a bit harder than normal, compared to the upper layers. In addition, there were guitar and bass cams in that corner, while the drums were pounding. So there was also the noisiest place in the whole cabin.

This orchestra uses plexies in front of drums. From the mixer's point of view, and at least in a state like this, it's a good option, so you can catch the worst leak there. On very small platforms, the plexes, with their reflections, cause a sense of rotation of the vocal mikes, when a couple of monitors are also used. There was no problem in this state.
