Machine Road Band

MRB was a new acquaintance, but a very nice one. Although the concert calendar is rather full for this year, a couple of jobs had already been agreed for them and the first one was peddled yesterday.

The equipment was very model for the band, and all I had to do was drag myself in. The mixer was Roland's M-480, which was also a new acquaintance of his own. It didn't take long, though, to get to know each other, when all things were found in a very logical way, and you seemed to get there quite quickly.

There was a bit of a problem with the songs, when the space seemed to start ringing quite easily from the middle area, even though the band had a button tap and a very small stage noise. The rough eq surgery did, of course, help, but it totally killed the sound of the song, so it was decided to switch the Sennheiser super-hearts mikes to the traditional Shure 58, and it fixed it with it.

Below is a short clip from the end of the private event.
