A year to wrap

That's how this year's coming to an end. It's been a very nice year on the music front. There have been a few recordings and gigs at a rather convenient rate. Of course, there was a lot of intense gigs sometimes, and that's all the time I could fit in the calendar. There is one more year for this in Rokua, where Garbo pedals the party at the turn of the year, where I deliver the equipment, and I do the mixer. The '25 concert starts on January 4th, when we're knocking with Public Shame in Petrelli.

There were no major purchases of equipment during the year. Some more light bulbs, a little smoke machine, molton, a couple monitors, and a little patch to the side. The coming year is planned to upgrade Midas' rucksack mixer to Behkun Wing. Wing brings some of the desired additional features that the last generation of rebels lack. I'm not losing, either, but I'm wearing the same rag as Wing. Well, it's a backup, if Wing squats, and if some gigs have a separate monitor mixer, it works great too.

There is still a little opening to whether the equipment will be delivered to outdoor events in the coming summer, and that really will determine whether the topups of the current Turbosound need to update the button to the brightest. The current 12 ″ IX series is enough for indoor work, but outside at least wants to end in heavy bands in the middle of the reserve. The update goes to 15 ″ IQ series, and the sound pressure gets 7dB more. Sure, a Codan TiRAY series would be cool, but this "hobby-minded" thing doesn't like it, so let's stick to a little cheaper equipment.

In January, the current storage space will be upgraded to a bit larger, which will also include recording facilities. This will, of course, require a little effort to get the acoustics of the farm to the point where you can make record-level recordings, but I think that will be in the event of February. Some preliminary recording work has already been agreed for the spring. We'll talk more about them when the time comes.

Campaign ready for the end of the year.
